Lew Bader is a finance and operations inspirational leader and change agent with a proven track record of building organizations through transformational strategies that unlock the spirit and talent of those who work for and with him.  With over 40 years of experience, across multiple disciplines and numerous countries, Lew has built a reputation for charting the course, creating a shared vision, tackling the organizational barriers that inhibit cross functional cooperation, and building a culture of operational excellence.  A person of high integrity, Lew believes in balancing business unit needs with organizational efficiency and excellence, while always focusing on improving the customer experience

Most recently, as Senior Vice President of North American Customer Service for Pearson, the world’s largest learning company, Lew spearheaded the transformation of his organization to support the emerging digital services products the company was investing in while continuing to provide valuable support to customers and business units in the traditional textbook marketplace. A strong change management program combined with training and a focus on quality, the restructure of the organization, standardization of processes and outsourcing of transaction processing resulted in millions in on-going annual benefits.  Prior to that Lew created a Global Order-to-Cash organization for Pearson that aligned the vision and strategy for Customer Service and Accounts Receivable in North America and the UK while providing strategic consulting services to organizations in 70+ countries around the world. Lew previously led the creation of the North American Shared Services group for Pearson, covering the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Royalties and Payroll, capitalizing on synergies that yielded substantial savings and cash flow improvements.

Lew has also served as VP of Accounting Services at Simon & Schuster, Assistant Controller at Macmillan Publishing Company, Director of Financial Reporting at CBS Educational and Professional Publishing and Manager of Royalty Accounting at Random House Inc. Prior to entering the business world, Lew taught third grade in New York City.

Lew earned his BA and MS degrees in Education from Queens College of the City University of New York and his MBA in Public Accounting from St. John’s University.
